Muttaburrasaurus
-
The Muttaburrasaurus was an herbivore from the Lower Cretaceous period. The Muttaburrasaurus had a upward pointing bulge on its snout that may have held an inflatable sac for signalling or to improve its sense of smell. It was about 26 feet long and it is Australia's most completely known dinosaur from skeletal remains. It was named after Muttaburra, the site in Queensland, Australia, where it was found, and its name means Muttaburra Lizard.
